POWERBOAT SPORTS ZONE – Become a Competitor from the Age of 6
At our stand, we will show that powerboating is a sport for everyone — for children from the age of 6 as well as adults, without the need for a large budget or any previous experience. We represent two paths within the same passion: Formula Future — a UIM-recognised racing class for children and young people aged 6–18, and Thundercat Racing Poland (P-750 class) — a dynamic and spectacular racing class for adults. We race in SIB and RIB boats, considered among the safest types of boats on the water, because safety is always our top priority.
What will be happening at our stand throughout all four days:
- Boats on display — a Thundercat P-750 and a Formula Future boat, available to see up close, with the opportunity to get on board and take a souvenir photo.
- Video screen with race footage — race starts, onboard footage, boating techniques, starting procedures and water safety.
- Meet our racers — including a 6-year-old World Champion and a 9-year-old Vice World Champion, available at scheduled times.
- Short educational presentations about the P-750 class — introduction to the sport, the history of the class, starting procedures and water safety rules.
- Short educational presentations about Formula Future — how to get started, equipment for young racers, boating techniques and the skills the sport develops in children, including concentration, reflexes, coordination, self-discipline and teamwork.
- Knot-tying station.
- Reflex and coordination games — “Find out if you have the reflexes of a racing driver!”
- “Young Skipper Passport” — children collect stamps by completing activities at different stations.
- Daily competitions with small prizes, including vouchers for trial training sessions.
- Display of trophies and medals from World and European Championships.
- Information about training sessions and registration for trial training — for everyone who would like to give the sport a try.
